Irony Deficiency On The Right

Last week in St. Louis, a teabagger got caught up in one of those scuffles at a health-care forum run by Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-MO, and apparently sustained some injuries. At his (inevitable) press conference the next day, he complained from his flag-draped wheelchair that not only was he viciously beaten up by health-care-supporting thugs, but also, by the way, he is currently uninsured and he could use some help with his medical bills.

Do they even hear themselves?

They need to hear you. If you believe America can be better, and that this window of opportunity cannot be allowed to close, please plan to attend a rally in support of Health Care Reform this Saturday at  Allyson Schwartz’s office, 201 Leedom Street, at 10:00 a.m. Details and an RSVP form are here.

Hear from President-elect of the National Physician’s Alliance, Dr. Valerie Arkoosh on the latest health care reform developments in Washington. Get fired up by John Myerson, the Director of Legislation and Political Action, UFCW 1776. Then take action as we canvass Montgomery County

Whether you’ve never knocked on a single door or you’re an old pro, you need to be part of this!  The right wing is mobilizing like never before and this state-wide event is essential to pushing our message forward.

We know there are more Pennsylvanians in favor of health care reform than not. We know 13 people die every week in our state because they don’t have health care. Let’s make sure our Members of Congress know that too!

The Bucks County Courier-Times ran a great article on Page 1 above the fold yesterday, titled "Separating fact and fiction on health care."  What an excellent example of how journalism can go beyond "balance" and actually call out lies and misrepresentations in its news columns. Why not drop a note in the comments box thanking them for running it?

Here’s an exhaustive collection of health care myths and debunkings.
